Disability is the state of a person in which one has to depend on others for their own needs. Visual impairment is one of the disabilities of a human being. To date numerous methods had been proposed to enhance the life style of visually impaired and blind people. Still purchasing products in the supermarket without others support is tricky one for them. The proposed system provides the guidance for them to identify and purchase their products in the supermarket. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is implemented to identify the products. The audio instructions will assist them inside the supermarket based on the real time situations. To make the supermarket in a smarter way the billing system is automated. The autonomous billing system uses zigbee transceiver to transmit/receive the product information. Hence it eliminates the existing queuing system in the supermarket. The ultimate aim of this system is to eliminate others support for visually impaired people in shopping and provide them a convenient and sophisticated environment. On implementing this system, it facilitates the blind people shopping, save the customer's time and promotes business sales.

Growing awareness of electric vehicles insists on the necessity of Permanent Magnet Brushless Direct Current Motor (PMBLDCM) worldwide. This paper involves building a simulation model of the complete PMBLDCM drive system using Matlab/Simulink to control the speed and Torque. Using the Simulink model, speed parameters with various controllers of the drive system are studied and analyzed. The conventional PI controller is capable of controlling the speed of the PMBLDC motor. H1owever, it cannot give assurance of the stability of the motor throughout the load variation. In a speed loop, Improved Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller (IBELBIC) is proposed in this paper. The proposed IBELBIC-based PMBLDC motor drive system with a rating of 3 phase, 30 V, 400 W, 3000 RPM is implemented using Spartan 3 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) from Xilinx. This paper presents an IBELBIC design for enhancing the speed performance of the drive system at various set speeds and different load conditions of 1.2 Nm load, 0.6 Nm load, and no load. The proposed PMBLDCM drive system is realized with the help of a Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) programming algorithm of digital Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator topology. Various test cases are evaluated under different operating conditions to demonstrate the learning capability and the applicability of the proposed controller. In this paper, simulation validation is done using hardware setup, and experimental results are monitored on a computer using a customized program developed using LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench). Instead of a Data Acquisition (DAQ) card, the Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA) tool of LabVIEW software is used in this work and results in cost minimization of the experimental setup.
In the recent days gesture controlled devices are getting more attention. There are different types of gesture controlling techniques. In this work, gesture of the user controls the movement of the mobile robot. The developed system is classified into gesture unit and mobile robot unit. The gesture unit consists of PIC microcontroller which monitors the movement of fingers and transmits the corresponding control signal to the mobile robot unit. The mobile robot unit also consists of PIC microcontroller for controlling the movement of mobile robots. In the gesture unit PIC microcontroller is assisted by flex sensors and XBee-S1 for reading gestures. Similarly in mobile robot unit PIC microcontroller is assisted by peripherals like XBee-S1 and L293DNE. Both the units are powered up by separate battery source. This proposed system is developed at low cost with better efficiency. It can be implemented in many other applications such as holding the speakers to assist dumb people, toys etc.
In this modern world, achieving high level security is a critical task. There are many authentication techniques have been improved and comparatively forging techniques also developed. So we are in the need of promising authentication methods by considering more security, reliability, cost effectiveness, easier implementation etc. Authentication includes identification, verification and recognition. It can be achieved using a biometric system which uses human physiological features such as fingerprint, palm print, iris, voice and facial recognitions. All such systems having the chances of threaten easily. To overcome this, advanced finger vein recognition technique is proposed and implemented in real time which is unique, does not need any physical contact, invisible feature, non-invasive, hard to be cloned, provide high accuracy and security using NIR (Near Infra-Red) scanning and advanced image processing technology embedded with PIC16F877A microcontroller. The proposed system can be used anywhere to prevent the unauthorized access and protects the privacy information. It can be extensively implemented in ATM's (Automatic Teller Machines), banking sectors, money transfer systems, military areas, hospitals, entry control etc.
