Pablo Otero (Member, IEEE) received an M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering
from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 1983, and a Ph.D. degree from the Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1998. From 1983 to 1993, he worked with Spanish companies Standard Eléctrica, E. N. Bazán, and Telefónica, where he was involved with communications and radar systems. In 1993, he joined the University of Seville, Spain, where he was a Lecturer for two years. In 1996, he joined the Laboratory of Electromagnetism and Acoustics, EPFL, where he was a Research Associate, working under a Spanish Government grant. In 1998, he joined the University of Malaga, Spain, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests include communications and wireless systems in oceanic engineering.
