The concept of an eco-industrial park (EIP) that promotes resource sharing, reutilization of waste, and exchange of materials among industries and communities brings significant benefits in terms of environmental, social, and economic aspects. EIP can be accomplished with the aid of blockchain technology to manage data and integration complexity and problem dimensionality. This work proposes the application of blockchain technology in combination with other Industry 4.0 (IR4.0) technologies as enablers for EIP development. We review the international frameworks for EIP and the IR4.0 principles and applications focusing on blockchain technology to evaluate the suitability of blockchain technology integration into the green industrial park concept. An illustrative model of a blockchain-based EIP data management platform has been proposed in this work as a starting point for exploring the full potential of this technology for future EIP applications.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation used to analyse the fluid mixing in micromixer. There are two cases of miscible liquids that involved within T-shaped micromixer which are ethanol-water and glycerol-water. The T-shaped micromixer consist of micro channel with two inlets channels and one outlet channel was constructed by using AutoCAD software. The effect of inlet velocity and width size toward mixing intensity were investigated. The mixing intensity values determine either good or bad mixing quality could be achieved. In this simulation, at low inlet velocity indicates good mixing quality as the mixing intensity value approaching to one. Whereas the effect of width size on mixing intensity are almost similar throughout simulated width sizes. Mixing intensity for the two cases of diffusion coefficient showed similar trend for different inlet velocity and width size of mixing channel.
In microchannel, fluid viscous effect becomes dominant, and the micro-flow typically falls in laminar regime. Mixing of fluid in the absence of turbulence is a slow molecular process as it is solely dependent on diffusion. Fast and complete mixing of relevant fluids is of crucial importance in many chemical engineering processes, thus computational fluid dynamics simulation on mixing in microchannel is the main topic in this chapter. The simulation was based on laminar flow and convective diffusion equation model. The factors affecting the mixing performance in microchannel was further simulated. The finding provides some insight of transport phenomena on mixing in microchannel.
