Dr. Aleksandar Marinković is a full professor at the University of Belgrade, Mechanical Engineering Faculty. He completed both his M.Sc (1994). and D.Sc. (2005) degrees at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, where he is current Head of Machine Design Department. He was a co-president of the Programmatic and Organizational Board of the International Conference in Tribology (Serbiatrib 2009, Belgrade) and also a member of the scientific committee in a series of international conferences in the area of Tribology, Engineering Design and Power Transmissions. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Serbian Tribology Society, associate member of the Austrian society in the field of tribology and also a member of the editorial board of several scientific and professional journals indexed in WOS and Scopus. His research area covers machine design, tribology in machine elements (specially sliding bearings), mechanical transmissions, optimization in mechanical systems etc. Aleksandar Marinković has been very active internationally, where he spent a semester at Glasgow Caledonian University (2006) specializeing in DAQ acquisition. He was also a guest professor at Vienna University of Technology (spring semester 2020) teaching tribology in machine elements. In addition, he was also the chair of the International PhD thesis defense committee at Mondragon University in Spain (2018) and involved in several PhD thesis at Serbian Universities.
