The environment and development are major issues of general concern. After much suffering from the harm of environmental pollution, human beings began to pay attention to environmental protection and started to carry out pollutant prediction research. A large number of air pollutant predictions have tried to predict pollutants by revealing their evolution patterns, emphasizing the fitting analysis of time series but ignoring the spatial transmission effect of adjacent areas, leading to low prediction accuracy. To solve this problem, we propose a time series prediction network with the self-optimization ability of a spatio-temporal graph neural network (BGGRU) to mine the changing pattern of the time series and the spatial propagation effect. The proposed network includes spatial and temporal modules. The spatial module uses a graph sampling and aggregation network (GraphSAGE) in order to extract the spatial information of the data. The temporal module uses a Bayesian graph gated recurrent unit (BGraphGRU), which applies a graph network to the gated recurrent unit (GRU) so as to fit the data’s temporal information. In addition, this study used Bayesian optimization to solve the problem of the model’s inaccuracy caused by inappropriate hyperparameters of the model. The high accuracy of the proposed method was verified by the actual PM2.5 data of Beijing, China, which provided an effective method for predicting the PM2.5 concentration.
Air quality plays a vital role in people’s health, and air quality forecasting can assist in decision making for government planning and sustainable development. In contrast, it is challenging to multi-step forecast accurately due to its complex and nonlinear caused by both temporal and spatial dimensions. Deep models, with their ability to model strong nonlinearities, have become the primary methods for air quality forecasting. However, because of the lack of mechanism-based analysis, uninterpretability forecasting makes decisions risky, especially when the government makes decisions. This paper proposes an interpretable variational Bayesian deep learning model with information self-screening for PM2.5 forecasting. Firstly, based on factors related to PM2.5 concentration, e.g., temperature, humidity, wind speed, spatial distribution, etc., an interpretable multivariate data screening structure for PM2.5 forecasting was established to catch as much helpful information as possible. Secondly, the self-screening layer was implanted in the deep learning network to optimize the selection of input variables. Further, following implantation of the screening layer, a variational Bayesian gated recurrent unit (GRU) network was constructed to overcome the complex distribution of PM2.5 and achieve accurate multi-step forecasting. The high accuracy of the proposed method is verified by PM2.5 data in Beijing, China, which provides an effective way, with multiple factors for PM2.5 forecasting determined using deep learning technology.

Nowadays, state estimation is widely used in fields such as autonomous driving and drone navigation. However, in practical applications, it is difficult to obtain accurate target motion models and noise covariance. This leads to a decrease in the estimation accuracy of traditional Kalman filters. To address this issue, this paper proposes an adaptive model free state estimation method based on attention parameter learning module. This method combines Transformer's encoder with Long Short Term Memory Network (LSTM), and obtains the system's operational characteristics through offline learning of measurement data without modeling the system dynamics and measurement characteristics. In addition, based on the output of the attention learning module, the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is used to estimate the system model parameters online, and a Kalman filter is used to obtain state estimation. This paper was validated using the GPS trajectory path dataset, and the experimental results showed that the proposed parameter adaptive model free state estimation method has better estimation accuracy than other models, providing an effective method for using deep learning networks for state estimation.

Front-end feature tracking based on vision is the process in which a robot captures images of its surrounding environment using a camera while in motion. Each frame of the image is then analyzed to extract feature points, which are subsequently matched between pairwise frames to estimate the robot’s pose changes by solving for the variations in these points. While feature matching methods that rely on descriptor-based approaches perform well in cases of significant lighting and texture variations, the addition of descriptors increases computational cost and introduces instability. Therefore, in this paper, a novel approach is proposed that combines sparse optical flow tracking with Shi-Tomasi corner detection, replacing the use of descriptors. This new method offers improved stability in situations of challenging lighting and texture variations while maintaining lower computational cost. Experimental results, validated using the OpenCV library on the Ubuntu operating system, demonstrate the algorithm's effectiveness and efficiency.

In recent years, deep learning techniques have been increasingly applied to the detection of remote sensing images. However, the substantial size variation and dense distribution of objects in these images present significant challenges to detection algorithms. Current methods often suffer from low efficiency, missed detections, and inaccurate bounding boxes. To address these issues, this paper presents an improved YOLO algorithm, YOLOv7-bw, designed for efficient remote sensing image detection, thereby advancing object detection applications in the remote sensing industry. YOLOv7-bw enhances the original SPPCSPC pooling pyramid network by incorporating a Bi-level Routing Attention module, which focuses on densely populated target areas to improve the network's feature extraction capabilities. Additionally, it introduces a dynamic non-monotonic WIoUv3 loss function to replace the original CIoU loss function. This substitution ensures that the loss function's gradient allocation strategy aligns more effectively with the current detection scenario, enhancing the network's focus on the detection object. Through comparative experiments on the DIOR remote sensing image dataset, we found that YOLOv7-bw achieved a high mAP@0.5 of 85.63% and a high mAP@0.5:0.95 of 65.93%, surpassing the previous results of 83.7% and 63.9% by approximately 1.93% and 2.03%, respectively. Moreover, compared with commonly used algorithms, YOLOv7-bw demonstrated superior performance, thereby validating the feasibility and enhanced applicability of our proposed algorithm for remote sensing image detection.

To predict future trends based on the data from sensors is an important technology for many applications, such as the Internet of Things, smart cities, etc. Based on the predicted results, further decisions and system controls can be made. Raw sensor data sets are often complex non-linear data with noise, which results in the difficulty of accurate prediction. This paper proposes a distributed deep prediction network based on a covariance intersection (CI) fusion algorithm in which the deep learning networks, such as long short-term memory networks (LSTM) and gated recurrent unit networks (GRU) are fused by CI fusion algorithm to effectively improve the performance of prediction. Moreover, the variance is obtained to evaluate the prediction results. The model is validated on the real weather dataset in Beijing. The experiments show that LSTM and GRU have their pros and cons for different data, CI fusion can improve the accuracy of the final predictions, and the entire framework has robust prediction results with a reasonable estimated variance.
