Belén Martínez-Rodríguez obtained a MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao (University of the Basque Country), Spain. She has been working at TECNALIA Research & Innovation (former Robotiker Technology Centre) since 2000, being a senior researcher in the Artificial Intelligence & Big Data research group of the Industry and Mobility unit. Her research interests focus on two main lines:
(1) Internet of Things (distributed systems interoperability, middleware architectures, real-time communication protocols, communication cybersecurity, data lifecycle management);
(2) Management of swarms of heterogeneous unmanned robotic vehicles (planning, distribution and supervision of collaborative missions).
