Dr. Grażyna Nowicka has been a professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacogenomics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Warsaw, since 2011. She is also the head of the department and the head of the division. From 1978 to 2011, she served at the National Institute of Food and Nutrition. Her research interests are focused on the study of non-communicable and diet-related diseases, including obesity and obesity-related disorders: pathogenesis; genetic–environmental factor interactions; risk assessment; prevention and treatment; human nutrition; nutritional biochemistry; and nutrigenomics.
