Dr. Ayman Alneamy is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Jazan University, Jazan, Saudi Arabia. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Jazan University in 2012, and an M.S. and PhD degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo, On, Canada, in 2014 and 2020, respectively. He was a teaching assistant in systems design engineering at the University of Waterloo. Prior to this, he was a teaching assistant at the department of mechanical engineering at Jazan University from 2012 to 2013. Dr. Alneamy’s research activities primarily focus on MEMS and micro/nanorobotics, with applications in engineering, medicine, and biology. These include mathematical modeling techniques, fabrication processes, and characterizations. He is a specialist in mechanical vibration, linear/nonlinear dynamics, and control of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Alneamy has used modeling techniques to analyze and design different MEMS sensors and actuators including micro-mirrors for display applications and micro-robotic systems. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journals and international conference papers. Dr. Alneamy received the Waterloo Institute Nanotechnology (WIN) Award in 2019 and five-time recipient of the Saudi Culture Bureau in Canada Award for outstanding researchers.
