Salvatore Gianluca Leonardi received a master’s degree in materials engineering and the Ph.D. degree in engineering and chemistry of materials from the University of Messina, Messina, Italy, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Advanced Technologies for Energy, CNR-ITAE, Messina. He has authored several articles in international scientific journals. His research interests include the development and characterization of chemical and electrochemical sensors and the characterization, development, and integration of electrochemical energy storage systems, with a focus on lithium-ion technology.
