Background: Some patients develop long-term symptoms after Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is one of the main symptoms. CFS is characterized by fatigue lasting for more than 6 months accompanied by sleep disorders, anxiety, and depression, which causes a certain degree of harm to both physiological and psychological aspects of the individual. Traditional Chinese exercises (TCEs) are an ancient Chinese therapy and has recently been reported to be effective for CFS. Therefore, we will conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis aiming to accurately evaluate the efficacy of TCEs on post-COVID-19 CFS and provide an alternative treatment for post-COVID-19 CFS. Methods: Seven databases (PubMed, Ovid Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Biology Medicine (CBM), and Wanfang) will be searched from establishment to August 2022, and we will only include randomized controlled trials of TCEs for post-COVID-19 CFS. Two reviews will independently include the research according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Review Manager 5.2 software will be used to analyze the accepted literature, and the relative risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) will be used as effect indicators for the outcome indicator dichotomous variables. For continuous variables, weighted mean difference (MD) and 95% CI will be used as effect indicators. The heterogeneity test will be assessed using the I 2 statistic and Q statistic. The PEDro scale was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the included studies. Subgroup analysis was performed according to different TCEs, age, gender, and duration of CFS. Results: This systematic review and meta-analysis will evaluate the efficacy of TCEs in post-COVID-19 CFS. Conclusion: The results of this study will provide reliable evidence for the effects of TCEs for post-COVID-19 CFS on patients’ fatigue, anxiety, depression, sleep, and quality of life.

Background: Growing evidence suggests a close association between circulating micronutrient levels and neuroimmune diseases. Nevertheless, the causal relationship between them remains unclear. Furthermore, due to confounding factors, many micronutrients implicated in these diseases remain unidentified. This study aimed to determine the causal relationship between circulating micronutrients and neuroimmune diseases through genetic association analysis, and to analyze the regulatory role of circulating micronutrients in neuroimmune diseases. Method: In this study, we used a two‐sample mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to explore the causal relationship between micronutrients levels and neuroimmune disease. Fourteen micronutrients were screened from a published genome‐wide association study (GWAS). Neuroimmune diseases include multiple sclerosis (MS), Guillain–Barre syndrome (GBS), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), acute poliomyelitis (AP), sequelae of poliomyelitis (SP), optic neuritis (ON), and myasthenia gravis (MG). Data on these seven neuroimmune diseases came from the FinnGen database and included 5523 cases and 2,860,006 controls. The inverse variance weighting (IVW) method was used as the main MR analysis method, and sensitivity analysis was performed to determine MR hypotheses. Results: Through MR analysis and sensitivity testing, we identified significant causal relationships between four neuroimmune diseases and micronutrient levels. Specifically, MS was causally associated with magnesium levels (OR: 0.467, 95% CI: 0.269–0.809, p = 0.007), ADEM with folate levels (OR: 0.022, 95% CI: 0.001–0.957, p = 0.047), ON with vitamin B6 levels (OR: 0.382, 95% CI: 0.187–0.778, p = 0.008), and MG with iron levels (OR: 0.194, 95% CI: 0.043–0.867, p = 0.032). Sensitivity analysis showed that there was no level pleiotropic or heterogeneity in our study results. Conclusion: This study established the causal relationship between micronutrients and neuroimmune diseases. These findings provide new insights into the etiology of neuroimmune diseases and provide a theoretical basis for micronutrient regulation, prevention, and treatment of neuroimmune diseases.

Review question / Objective: Manipulative therapy has been increasingly applied to alleviate those who suffer from chronic neck pain. This systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) aimed to determine the efficacy of manipulative therapy for chronic neck pain. P: Patients with Chronic Neck Pain. I: Manipulative therapy. C: Exercise, rehabilitation, or other physical therapy. O: Pain intensity and Neck disability. S: Randomized controlled trials. Condition being studied: Pain in the neck is a disagreeable sensory and emotional experience associated with the potential or actual damage of tissue that affects the cervical region. Pain in the neck that lasts for a long period is a serious problem for public health that causes a lot of pressure. Manipulative therapy is usually considered an alternative treatment option with the advantages of fewer verse effects and lower treatment costs compared to exercise. Therefore, this study retrieved the relevant randomized controlled trials of manipulative therapy in the treatment of chronic neck pain and conducted a comprehensive quantitative analysis to offer an evidence-based reference for the clinical application of manipulative therapy.
