Dr. Diego Vergara currently works at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Catholic University of Ávila (Spain). In addition, he is a researcher at the Technology, Instruction and Design in Engineering and Education Research Group (TiDEE.rg). He studied Materials Engineering at the University of Salamanca in 2000 and completed his Ph.D. studies at the same University in 2007. His research interests are focused on the study of technology-enhanced learning; virtual reality; augmented reality; metallography; material characterization; mechanical behavior of materials; mechanical testing; materials testing; stress and strain analysis; fracture mechanics; fractography; corrosion science; finite element analysis; nuclear energy; and energy efficiency.
