In this paper, a high step-up non-isolated DC-DC converter is proposed to provide high voltage-gain with low voltage-stress on semiconductors. The main feature of the proposed structure is its flexibility in providing constant output voltages with a reasonable range of voltage stress. This flexibility of the voltage-gain is achieved by different combinations of duty cycles. Also, this feature improves the efficiency of the proposed converter. This structure consists of three switches, two inductors, three capacitors and four diodes. In this paper, description of continuous conduction mode (CCM), discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), boundary condition mode (BCM), non-ideal model, and control method are presented. Comparisons between the proposed converter and other related structures show that in this converter, the voltage gain is improved and semiconductors voltage stresses are reduced. In order to verify the mathematical analysis, a 500W laboratory prototype of the proposed converter is built and its experimental results are investigated completely.

This article introduces a new coupled inductor based dual-input ultra-high step-up dc–dc converter with a high voltage conversion ratio, low voltage stress across semiconductor components, and high efficiency features. The coupled inductor and voltage multiplier circuit (VMC) techniques have been utilized to enhance the voltage gain. The blocking voltages of power switches are clamped by VMC at low values and can be controlled via the turn ratio of the coupled inductors that decreases the voltage rate of power switches and converter's cost. The presented dual-input structure can transfer power to the load from two independent voltage sources. Besides, the inputs and output ports are common ground, which can reduce the electromagnetic interference influences. Operation modes delineation, steady-state analysis, and comparison section are provided for describing the proposed structure performance. Finally, to confirm the effectiveness of the presented topology, experimental waveforms with a 200 W output power at 50 kHz switching frequency are presented.

In this article, a new triple-switch triple-mode (TS-TM) high step-up dc–dc converter is proposed. The proposed converter consists of three switches, four diodes, two magnetically coupled inductors, and three capacitors. This converter can provide a high voltage conversion ratio with high power efficiency and low voltage stress across the power semiconductor components. Due to the low voltage stresses of the power semiconductors and implementing the coupled inductors technique, the proposed converter is a low-cost and high-efficient structure in comparison to the other similar TS-TM structures. In order to clarify the advantages of the proposed converter, the required mathematical calculations and comparison results with similar converters are presented. Also, a novel TS-TM with transformer is proposed to overcome the electromagnetic interface problems. Furthermore, a 500 W experimental prototype is built and its performance with different values of duty cycles is tested to prove the claimed features of the proposed converter. A total of 94.5% maximum power efficiency of the assembled prototype has been obtained at 260 W output power.

In this paper a new topology of non‐isolated high step‐up DC‐DC is proposed for renewable applications like photovoltaic (PV) power generation. This converter is designed based on coupled inductor and VMC techniques. The main benefits of the presented topology are: (1) Continues input current with low ripple, (2) low voltage stress across semiconductors, (3) soft switching of diodes (ZVS and ZCS), (4) high voltage gain with low duty cycle, (5) low volume and cost, and (6) high power efficiency. To obtain a high output voltage, the secondary side of the coupled inductor is integrated with VMC, resulting in a large voltage gain with low duty cycles and reduced conduction loss of power switches. Additionally, diodes' zero voltage switching (ZVS) and zero current switching (ZCS) improve the efficiency of the proposed converter. The used VMCs act as a voltage clamp, and the peak voltages across power switches are reduced. The presented converter's operational modes, steady‐state, and efficiency analysis are discussed. Additionally, to indicate the performance of the suggested structure, a 200 W prototype with V in  = 33 V and V o  = 403 V voltage conversion is built, and the experimental results are presented. The experimental efficiency at P o  = 200 W is measured 95.29%. Also, efficiency is measured more than 95 % for P o  = 20 W to 200 W.

This article proposes an interleaved high step‐up DC–DC converter topology designed for renewable energy applications, featuring an ultra‐high voltage conversion ratio. The converter employs an interleaved structure, resulting in a low peak‐to‐peak ripple in the input source current, which is particularly advantageous for solar PV sources. To enhance the output voltage, the topology utilizes voltage multiplier cells (VMC) and coupled inductor techniques. Two coupled inductors with three windings are integrated into the proposed topology, with the secondary and tertiary windings combined with VMC. This combination effectively reduces the maximum voltage stress across power switches, enabling the use of low‐rated and cost‐effective power switches for implementation. The article offers comprehensive operation modes and steady‐state analyses to demonstrate the converter's performance. A comparison is made between the suggested structure and other similar converter topologies. To validate the mathematical analysis, a 200‐W prototype is constructed, operating at a frequency of 25 kHz and achieving a voltage conversion range of 20 to 409 V. The experimental results are presented to support the findings.
