Born in Leningrad, USSR, in 1986. Obtained a diploma in Chemistry (2009) and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (2012) from the St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg, Russia). Worked as a staff researcher at the Institute of Toxicology of Federal Medico-Biological Agency (St. Petersburg, Russia), then as a non-tenure lecturer at St. Petersburg State University. Later moved to a postdoctoral position at the Atomic & Mass Spectrometry group at Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium). Currently works as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at the Institute of Technology Sligo (Sligo, Ireland). Member of Royal Society of Chemistry since 2014 and German Society for Minerals and Trace Elements (since 2016).
