Samuel M Mugo received the Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, in 2006. He held a post-doctoral position at Queen’s University, Kingston,ON, Canada, from 2007 to 2008, where his focus was development of plastic-based microfluidic platforms for clinical and environmental forensics and diagnostics. He has been an Analytical Chemistry Professor with MacEwan University, Canada, since 2008. His research program involves developing frugal and mobile chemical analysis platforms often hyphenatable to smartphones that can be used by the public at the point of need. His research group has more than fifteen years’ expertise in developing mobile spectroelectrochemical flexible sensors with embedded data analytics regression models for crop/food/environmental/animal chemical analytics.
Prof Mugo is currently the Interim Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health and Community Studies, at MacEwan University
