Professor. Dr. Victor Cavaleiro is a Full Professor in Civil Engineering at UBI, a specialist in Geotechnics, and a Senior Researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DECA) at UBI and the GeoBioTec research unit. His main areas of research are the performance of mineral, agro-industrial, and industrial residues in earthworks; methodologies and analysis of soil stabilization and reinforcement on slopes and dams; geotechnical and hydro-geological behavior in earth and rock massifs; and the geotechnical and geophysical prospecting of sub-soil.
