Recent strides in Text-to-3D techniques have been propelled by distilling knowledge from powerful large text-to-image diffusion models (LDMs). Nonetheless, existing Text-to-3D approaches often grapple with challenges such as over-saturation, inadequate detailing, and unrealistic outputs. This study presents a novel strategy that leverages explicitly synthesized multi-view images to address these issues. Our approach involves the utilization of image-to-image pipelines, empowered by LDMs, to generate posed high-quality images based on the renderings of coarse 3D models. Although the generated images mostly alleviate the aforementioned issues, challenges such as view inconsistency and significant content variance persist due to the inherent generative nature of large diffusion models, posing extensive difficulties in leveraging these images effectively. To overcome this hurdle, we advocate integrating a discriminator alongside a novel Diffusion-GAN dual training strategy to guide the training of 3D models. For the incorporated discriminator, the synthesized multi-view images are considered real data, while the renderings of the optimized 3D models function as fake data. We conduct a comprehensive set of experiments that demonstrate the effectiveness of our method over baseline approaches.

The existing pavement performance prediction methods are limited to single‐factor predictions, which often face the challenges of high cost, low efficiency, and poor accuracy. It is difficult to simultaneously solve the temporal, spatial, and exogenous dependencies between pavement performance data and maintenance, the service life of highways, the environment, and other factors. Digital twin technology based on the building information modeling (BIM) model, combined with machine learning, puts forward a new perspective and method for the accurate and timely prediction of pavement performance. In this paper, we propose a highway tunnel pavement performance prediction approach based on a digital twin and multiple time series stacking (MTSS). This paper (1) establishes an MTSS prediction model with heterogeneous stacking of eXtreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), the artificial neural network (ANN), random forest (RF), ridge regression, and support vector regression (SVR) component learners after exploratory data analysis (EDA); (2) proposes a method based on multiple time series feature extraction to accurately predict the pavement performance change trend, using the highway segment as the minimum computing unit and considering multiple factors; (3) uses grid search with the k‐fold cross validation method to optimize hyperparameters to ensure the robustness, stability, and generalization ability of the prediction model; and (4) constructs a digital twin for pavement performance prediction to realize the real‐time dynamic evolution of prediction. The method proposed in this study is applied in the life cycle management of the Dalian highway‐crossing tunnel in Shanghai, China. A dataset covering 2010–2019 is collected for real‐time prediction of the pavement performance. The prediction accuracy evaluation shows that the mean absolute error (MAE) is 0.1314, the root mean squared error (RMSE) is 0.0386, the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is 5.10%, and the accuracy is 94.90%. Its overall performance is better than a single model. The results verify that the prediction method based on digital twin and MTSS is feasible and effective in the highway tunnel pavement performance prediction.

Prediction tunnel settlement in shield tunnels during the operation period has gained increasing significance within the realm of maintenance strategy formulation. The sparse settlement data during this period present a formidable challenge for predictive Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, as they may not handle non-stationary relationships effectively or have the risk of overfitting. In this study, we propose an improved machine learning (ML) model based on sparse settlement data. We enhance training data via time series clustering, use time decomposition to uncover latent features, and employ Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) v1.5.1 with Bayesian Optimization (BO) v1.2.0 for precise predictions. Comparative experiments conducted on different acquisition points substantiate our model’s efficacy, the in-training set yielding a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.649 mm, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.873 mm, Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 3.566, and Coefficient of Determination (R2) of 0.872, and the in-testing set yielding a MAE of 0.717 mm, RMSE of 1.048 mm, MAPE of 4.080, and R2 of 0.846. The empirical results show the superiority of the proposed model compared to simple ML models and a complex neural network model, as it has a lower prediction error and higher accuracy across different sparse settlement datasets. Moreover, this paper underlines that accurate settlement predictions contribute to achieving some Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, preventive tunnel maintenance strategies based on predictive results can enhance tunnels’ long-term operational reliability, which is in accordance with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Reducing emissions in the aviation industry remains a critical challenge for global low-carbon transition. Accurate fuel consumption prediction is essential to achieving emission reduction targets and advancing sustainable development in aviation. Aircraft fuel consumption is influenced by numerous complex factors during flight, resulting in significant nonlinear relationships between segment-specific variables and fuel usage. Traditional statistical and econometric models struggle to capture these relationships effectively. This article first focuses on the different characteristics of QAR data and uses the Adaptive Noise Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (CEEMDAN) method to obtain more significant potential features of QAR data, solving the problems of mode aliasing and uneven mode gaps that may occur in traditional decomposition methods when processing non-stationary signals. Secondly, a dynamic multidimensional particle swarm optimization algorithm (DMPSO) was constructed using an adaptive adjustment dynamic change method of inertia weight and learning factor, which solved the problem of local extremum and low search accuracy in the solution space that PSO algorithm is prone to during the optimization process. Then, a DMPSO-LSTM aircraft fuel consumption model was established to achieve fuel consumption prediction for three flight segments: climb, cruise, and descent. The final proposed model was validated on real-world datasets, and the results showed that it outperformed other baseline models such as BP, RNN, PSO-LSTM, etc. Among the results, the climbing segment MAE index decreased by more than 40%, the RMSE index decreased by more than 38%, and the R2 index increased by more than 6%, respectively. The MAE index of the cruise segment decreased by more than 40%, the RMSE index decreased by more than 40%, and the R2 index increased by more than 5%, respectively. The MAE index of the descending segment decreased by more than 20%, the RMSE index decreased by more than 30%, and the R2 index increased by more than 5%, respectively. The improved prediction accuracy can be used to implement multi-criteria optimization in flight operations: (1) by quantifying weight–fuel relationships, it supports payload–fuel tradeoff decisions; (2) enhanced phase-specific predictions allow optimized climb/cruise profile selections, balancing time and fuel use; and (3) precise consumption estimates facilitate optimal fuel-loading decisions, minimizing safety margins. The high-precision fuel consumption prediction framework proposed in this study provides actionable insights for airlines to optimize flight operations and design low-carbon route strategies, thereby accelerating the aviation industry’s transition toward net-zero emissions.

Mechanical and electrical equipment is an important component of urban rail transit stations, and the service capacity of stations is affected by its reliability. To solve the problem of predicting faults in station mechanical and electrical equipment with sparse data, this study proposes a fault prediction framework based on SSA-CNN-LSTM. Firstly, this article proposes a fault enhancement method for station electromechanical equipment based on TimeGAN, which expands and generates data that conform to the temporal characteristics of the original dataset, to solve the problem of sparse data in the original fault dataset. An SSA-CNN-LSTM model is then established to extract effective data features from low-dimensional data with insufficient feature depth through structures such as convolutional layers and pooling layers in a CNN, determine the optimal hyperparameters, automatically optimize the model network size, solve the problem of the difficult determination of the neural network model size, and achieve accurate prediction of the fault rate of station electromechanical equipment. Finally, an engineering verification was conducted on the platform screen door (PSD) systems in stations on Shanghai Metro Lines 1, 5, 9, and 10. The experiments showed that the proposed prediction method improved the RMSE by 0.000699, the MAE by 0.00042, and the R2 index by 0.109779 when predicting the fault rate data of platform screen doors on all of the lines. When predicting the fault rate data of the screen doors on a single line, the performance of the model was better than that of the CNN-LSTM model optimized with the PSO algorithm.

Urban roads face significant challenges from the unpredictable and destructive characteristics of natural or man-made disasters, emphasizing the importance of modeling and evaluating their resilience for emergency management. Resilience is the ability to recover from disruptions and is influenced by factors such as human behavior, road conditions, and the environment. However, current approaches to measuring resilience primarily focus on the functional attributes of road facilities, neglecting the vital feedback effects that occur during disasters. This study aims to model and evaluate road resilience under dynamic and uncertain emergency event scenarios. A new definition of road operational resilience is proposed based on the pressure-state-response theory, and the interaction mechanism between multidimensional factors and the stage characteristics of resilience is analyzed. A method for measuring road operational resilience using Dynamic Bayesian Networks (DBN) is proposed, and a hierarchical DBN structure is constructed based on domain knowledge to describe the influence relationship between resilience elements. The Best Worst method (BWM) and Dempster–Shafer evidence theory are used to determine the resilience status of network nodes in DBN parameter learning. A road operational resilience cube is constructed to visually integrate multidimensional and dynamic road resilience measurement results obtained from DBNs. The method proposed in this paper is applied to measure the operational resilience of roads during emergencies on the Shanghai expressway, achieving a 92.19% accuracy rate in predicting resilient nodes. Sensitivity analysis identifies scattered objects, casualties, and the availability of rescue resources as key factors affecting the rapidity of response disposal in road operations. These findings help managers better understand road resilience during emergencies and make informed decisions.
