Metals used in biomedical applications are frequently coated to prevent oxidation and metallic ion release, both of which can be harmful due to toxic effects. To prevent these adverse effects of metals, researchers have focused their efforts on developing various coating techniques, facilitating surface coating, or obtaining functional surfaces. (WEDM) is now considered a difficult method of obtaining functional surfaces for medical applications. The properties of the surface and subsurface layers obtained by the WEDM method are particularly interesting in this regard. The analysis utilised RSM-based computational technique to evaluate the WEDM characteristics (MRR SR) of Ti6Al4V Titanium Alloy in biomedical applications. The biggest drawback of the material in the biomedical industry, which includes orthopedic applications and dental implants, would be that it releases harmful atoms such as iron, chromium, and nickel into the bodily fluid environment. To combat the problems, a hydroxyapatite layer applied to the metal implant improves biocompatibility, osteocompatibility, and antimicrobial properties. By comparing the Modified Differential Evolution (MDE) approach to the basic differential evolution (DE) optimization strategy, the effectiveness of the MDE approach has been established. According to the cyclic polarized test, the Hap coated Titanium material had better corrosion resistance than the pure sample. The Hap coated titanium material has a higher zone of inhibition than the pure sample. The next step is to synthesis hydroxyapatite from cuttlebone, which is then electrodeposited onto titanium. FTIR, electrochemical tests, FESEM, and SEM were used to describe the coated sample, as well as an antibacterial test using E. Coli and B. Cereus bacteria. Because it is porous, the Hap coating helps bone tissue growth by preventing detrimental metal ions from escaping into the biological medium. The corrosion inhibition efficiency of the coated sample was performed in SBF (NaHCO30.35g/L, MgCl2.6H2O0.30g/L, CaCl2·2H2O0.37g/L, K2HPO4. 3H2O0.23g/L, Na2SO40.071g/L, NaCl7.99g/L, KCl0.22g/L, Triss buffer6.063g/L) solution using the potentiodynamic polarisation method and the solution pH was maintained.

The usage of petroleum fuels in IC engines is hazardous to humans, plants, and agriculture since they exhaust poisonous pollutants into the environment. Substantial research is now being conducted to identify an alternative to petroleum fuel and to enhance its quality. Nanoparticles are a relatively new technology that may be used to improve the properties of fuel. Engine tests were performed on conventional CI engines using a diesel and biodiesel blend under different running circumstances. The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance, emissions, and combustion characteristics of a pumpkin seed oil methyl ester diesel blend (PSOME20) in a diesel engine with the help of a copper oxide nanoparticle. CuO nanoparticles in varying concentrations (50 and 100 ppm) were dispersed in the PSOME20 fuel. The results showed that the BTE of the PSOME20CuO100 fuel is 2.3% higher than that of the PSOME20 fuel, but the reduction in BSFC is 6.4%. Engine HC, CO, and smoke emissions were being significantly minimized when CuO nanoparticles were mixed with PSOME20. The addition of CuO nanoparticles to PSOME20 enhanced combustion behaviors such as HRR and cylinder pressure.

Biodiesel, an alternative fuel is derived from the fats of animals and plants. As energy demands increase and fossil fuels are limited, research is directed towards alternative renewable fuels. The main advantages of using this alternative fuel are its renewability, biodegradability and better quality of exhaust gases. It is technically competitive and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional petro-diesel fuel for use in Compression Ignition (CI) engines. The use of biodiesel reduces the dependence on imported fossil fuels which continue to decrease in availability and affordability. An experimental investigation has been carried out to evaluate the combustion, performance and emission characteristics of a diesel engine with the effect of using neem oil methyl ester and its diesel blends at different loads. The results showed that maximum cylinder pressure and maximum rate of heat release increased with the increase in bio diesel blends. The carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke emissions were found significantly lower when operating on biodiesel-diesel blends, but Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions are found to be higher at full load.
