Dr. Greg DeBoer is an associate
professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Leeds. He received a PhD in Mechanical
Engineering at the University
of Leeds. In addition, he is a member of the Institute of Thermofluids (iTF)
academic, an associate editor of the Proceedings of the IMechE Part J: Journal
of Engineering Tribology, a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a member
of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS), and a UKCGE Recognised Research
Supervisor. His research interests include multiscale modeling of lubricated
contacts, including modeling of hydrodynamic cavitation and other related phenomena,
computational modeling of poroelastic lubrication mechanisms in biological
contacts, computational fluid mechanics for heat transfer problems, fluid/solid
interfaces, viscoelasticity, and so on.
