Carlo Barone was born in 1976 in Salerno,
where he lives. He earned a Ph.D. in Physics (specialization in Condensed
Matter) at the University of Salerno in 2008. From 7 April 2008 to 28 November
2022, he worked at the University of Salerno (Department of Physics) and the
Institute SPIN of the National Research Council (CNR) as a Researcher.
Nowadays, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics (University
of Salerno). In 2004, he obtained a professional certificate of “Expert in
Computer Applications for the Territorial Management”, issued by the Campania
Region. On 14 October 2014, he also recieved the qualification of “Crane Operator”, issued by Ente Nazionale Bilaterale Lavoro e Impresa. From March 07, 2025 he has the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor in the Italian higher education system for the disciplinary field of 02/B1 - Experimental Condensed Matter Physics.
Most of his scientific and professional activity has focused on elaborating stochastic signals originated by non-equilibrium processes in innovative materials and devices (electric noise measurements).
