Prof. Attilio Rigotti obtained his M.D. from the School of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Católica Santiago, Chile in 1987, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Pontificia Universidad Católica, Santiago, Chile in 1998. His academic activity is predominantly devoted to teaching, research, and clinical activity in the field of lipid metabolism and dyslipidemias in animal and human models, as well as in the Mediterranean diet and healthy lifestyles and their relationship with people’s health and psychological well-being. Since 2008, he has been a member of the study group on Lifestyles, Well-being and Health at the UC School of Medicine, which seeks to promote psychological well-being, a positive work environment, and a better quality of life for all levels of this academic unit.
