Camila Fabiano de Freitas is currently an assistant professor in the area of Physical Chemistry at the Chemistry Department pf the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and is linked to the postgraduate program in chemistry (PPGQ) at the same institution. She has a degree in Chemistry (2012) from the State University of Maringá (UEM) and a master's in Chemistry (with an emphasis on Physical Chemistry) from UEM (2014) working on the modification of photoactive drugs and their subsequent incorporation into copolymeric micelles for applications in Photodynamic Therapy. He has a PhD in Sciences (concentration area in Chemistry with an emphasis on Physical Chemistry) from UEM (2018) working on the development of site-specific polymeric-lipid liposomes and the modification of copolymers for the incorporation of photoactive drugs. During his postdoctoral internships (2018--2022), he developed studies related to obtaining pH-responsive polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs), the production and stabilization of gold nanoparticles applicable in Photothermal Therapy, and obtaining electrospun nanofibers aimed at treating microorganisms. He has knowledge in the areas of Materials Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Copolymeric Micelles, Functionalized Triblock Copolymers, Coated/Vectorized Liposomes, pH-responsive Hydrogels, Electrospun Nanofibers, Controlled Release, the Synthesis and Characterization of Metallic Nanoparticles, Theranostics, Photodynamic Therapy, and Photothermal Therapy.
