Do uznanych artystów i architektów mieszkających w Łodzi na przełomie XIX i XX w. należeli: S. Hirszenberg, L. Pilichowski, M. Trębacz, H. Glicenstein, D. Landé i A. Zeligson.

The article examines the artistic value, legal and conservation aspects of Banksy's murals created during the war in Ukraine. Currently, there are conflicting opinions both on the artistic value of street art and on how to preserve works of this type as works of art. As Banksy's works have become commercially important, there is a need to assess them in Ukraine, regarding legal aspects and the possibility of displaying them. The authors analyzed the problems of using these murals from the point of view of the law and structural possibilities, since the murals are made on dilapidated buildings.

The paper contributes to scanpath bundling methods. We propose an analytical approach for statistical comparisons of aggregated scanpath visualizations by means of second-order gaze analysis metrics. The present study explores differences in attention distribution and cognitive processing over architectural objects between architects, art historians, and non-experts. The results show between-group differences in attention dynamics of the aggregated scanpaths. The aggregated scanpaths of both expert groups were focal, while non-experts' scanpaths were ambient. Experts also paid more attention to and tended to remember better the architectural details and their location. The discussion explores the scalability of the proposed approach for Human-Computer Interaction and accessibility technologies designed to enhance the experience of cultural heritage.

The article analyzes the experience of replacing expositions in Kyiv museums during the Russian-Ukrainian war. Since most of the museums that fell under the Russian occupation were looted or destroyed, and museums in other territories of Ukraine suffered from shelling, one of the options for preserving unique exhibits is their temporary relocation for storage abroad or hiding in shell-proof storage facilities. Instead, their place is occupied by modern exhibitions of photographs, works of contemporary art, modern decorative products, etc. The principles of replacing permanent exhibitions with temporary ones are considered on the examples of two of the most famous Kyiv museums – the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Art and the National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery". In parallel, the authors presented an artistic photographic exhibition by Serhii Belinsky in the project of Yulia Ivashko "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (Jn 1.5)" curated by Aneta Pawłowska, which was presented in various European cities.

Autorki książki przedstawiły problem wyrównania szans osób niewidomych i niedowidzących w dostępie do dóbr kultury. Zaprezentowały metodę tworzenia audiodeskrypcji dzieł w kontekście upowszechniania sztuki wśród osób z dysfunkcjami wzroku. Ponieważ tworzenie audiodeskrypcji wymaga znacznego zasobu zróżnicowanej wiedzy, zaproponowały wprowadzenie specjalistycznych zajęć z audiodeskrypcji prowadzonych metodą projektową. [...] Z recenzji prof. Ryszarda Hungera

Introduction: Encephalopathy and stroke in COVID-19 patients have been repeatedly reported. Previous reports indicate that SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with a significantly escalated risk of ischemic stroke, especially with potentially cryptogenic stroke. Encephalopathy is also present in Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL). Definitive diagnosis of CADASIL is based on sequencing the NOTCH3 gene. Primary pathology is the accumulation of abnormal transmembrane deposits on vascular smooth muscle cells in the brain and other organs.Material and methods: Genome of the patient was sequenced with the average depth of coverage 32,7x and mapped to the reference genome GRCh38. The whole genome sequencing (WGS) approach identified heterozygous missense variant NOTCH3 in the exon 8. Targeted Sanger sequencing was done to confirm the presence of the variant, and to examine the closest relatives. Beside the patient, all family members were unaffected, the variant appeared de novo. Results: Identified variant was not reported in the GnomAD v.3 and 1000 Genomes, nor in polymorphism database dbSNP. No clinical information was available in ClinVar. The only information regarding variants in the same amino acid position (Cs440Ser and Cys440Gly) from LOVD database were reported by Markus et al. They were found in 2 individuals affected with CADASIL and interpreted as pathogenic on the basis of symptoms and familial cosegregation. Beside the patient, all family members were unaffected, the variant appeared de novo. Conclusions: The simultaneous COVID-19 infection could probably provoke an exacerbation of a previously asymptomatic CADASIL patient and could lead to an acute ischemic multi-infarct encephalopathy.
