Prof. Dr. Cheng Yang is a Professor at the Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry & Technology of the Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. He completed his B.S. and M.S. at the Department of Chemistry, Sichuan University (1991–1998), and then, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Zhejiang University (1998–2000). In 2004, he obtained his Ph.D. from the College of Pharmacy, Nagasaki University. Subsequently, he served in succession as a Research Assistant Professor at the Japan Science and Technology Agency (2004–2007), an Assistant Professor at the Osaka University (2007–2012), a PRESTO Researcher (PRESTO) at the Osaka University (2008–2012). Since 2012, he has been working as a Professor at the Sichuan University. His research interests are Chiral Photochemical Reaction, Macrocyclic Supramolecular Photochemistry, Host-Guest Complexation, Molecular Photochemistry and Photophysics, and Photon Energy Upconversion.
