Information

Dr Del Giudice is a biotechnologist with a flair for interdisciplinary projects. Indeed, in order to address fundamental biological questions, she combined many diverse methods ranging from cellular and molecular biology to protein chemistry, biophysics, and structural biology. Dr Del Giudice's research has mainly focused on the recombinant production and in-depth characterization of both soluble and membrane-bound proteins and enzymes, paying particular attention on the stability, molecular structure and function of proteins involved in health and disease, and in enzymes responsible for the biosynthesis of high-value compounds. Alongside with the study of proteins in health and disease, Dr Del Giudice also worked on the analysis and characterisation of the effects of antioxidants from natural sources on in vitro cells models for cosmetic and food industry.
