Juan Daniel Prades Garcí is currently a professor with Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Universitat de Barcelona. In his career, he has participated in 7 European projects and in more than 15 national projects. As for the research management, he has been Principal Investigator in five R & D Contracts with the industry in the fields of device development, smart system integration, and environmental monitoring, and in four Spanish Projects funded in competitive calls. He is also serving as a coordinator for European Projects: ERC Starting Grant (2014), ERC Proof of Concept (2016), FET Open (2017), and Eureka-Eurostars (2017). In his short career, he has independently obtained and managed about 4.5 million EUR in research funding. His research interests include sensor technology, with a special focus on gas and chemical sensors.
