Information

Nadjib Semmar is currently acting as senior researcher in the GREMI Laboratory (CNRS) and full professor at the University of Orléans (France). He received his PhD in 1993 from University of Nancy (Lorraine), in the field of Applied and Thermo-Physics. His main research interest concerns laser–matter interaction and fast optical/thermal diagnostics during thin-film material processing. He actively contributed in several academic and industrial projects on the investigation of thermophysical behavior of complex films, coatings, and surfaces subject to plasma and/or laser beam sources, including the nano-/micro-texturing by short laser beam. He also contributed as co-chair of National and International symposia related to laser processing and served as lecturer in applied physics Master level in Europe.
