In this study, a tissue culture method was developed for the propagation and conservation of Cattleya gaskelliana (N.E.Br.) B.S. Williams. Initially, protocorms with leaf primordium, obtained via asymbiotic seed germination, were used as explants. Half-strength Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 1.5 mg L−1 6-benzyl aminopurine (BA) and 2.0 mg L−1, indole butyric acid (IBA) was found to be optimal for the proliferation of protocorm-like bodies (PLB). Most explants (81%) proliferated, each producing 11.1 ± 1.87 units per explant. The optimum number of PLB differentiated to plantlets on a cultured medium with 0.5 mg L−1 Thidiazuron (TDZ) + 100 mL L−1 coconut water. Firmly rooted plantlets with vigorous growth were regenerated on ½ MS medium + 1.0 mg L−1 Indole- 3-acetic acid (IAA) and 50 g L−1 banana puree. Plants regenerated via in vitro processes were wrapped with sphagnum moss and acclimatized in a substrate containing equal proportions of bark, perlite, and peat with a 100% ex-vitro survival rate after acclimation for 70 days. The protocol developed in this study can be used to obtain several thousand plants within one year, and thus, is an effective method.

Anthocyanins have various health benefits but are limited by fast elimination and low bioavailability. Many studies have shown that nano delivery systems are effective in improving the intestinal absorption and bioavailability of anthocyanins. However, in the process of selecting anthocyanin nanomaterials, a dilemma is faced: numerous functional nanomaterials lack edible properties, it is difficult to meet the edible and functional requirements of nanomaterials simultaneously. Therefore, it is necessary and inevitable to select nano-anthocyanin carriers that are edible and have certain functional and morphological characteristics. The study aim to provide an efficient, sustained-release and easy to industrialize nanosystem method to solve the problem of low bioavailability of anthocyanins. A succinylated casein-phospholipid-anthocyanin nanosystem (CLS) was designed via computational chemistry-guided one-step self-assembly. Morphological, in vitro/in vivo digestion, pharmacokinetic were conducted. Furthermore, the effects of CLS on intestinal microecology were verified by using enteritis model animals, and the lung-targeting effect of CLS on lung health was verified by using lung injury model animals. CLS exhibited 24-hour intestinal sustained release and lung-targeted enrichment. Pharmacokinetic studies showed 25.7-fold higher lung AUC(0-t) and 13.1-fold higher blood AUC(0-t) compared to free anthocyanins. CLS significantly alleviated lung injury and colitis in model rats via the gut-lung axis. This study significantly improved the bioavailability of anthocyanins and demonstrated the oral lung-targeting function of anthocyanins for the first time, paving the way for utilizing anthocyanins as dietary supplements and precision nutrition.

The results of studies on the improvement of technology for producing highquality planting material of half-high blueberry and Arctic bramble by the method of clonal micropropagation are presented in the current paper. Creation of forest berry plantations in peat extraction areas allows reducing environmental damage and significantly increasing the efficiency of the timber industry. In recent decades, there has been an increasing interest in the creation of forest berry plantations on drained and cutover peatlands in Russia and other countries. It is necessary to use varietal planting material for the successful cultivation of forest berry plants on an industrial scale. Clonal micropropagation is the most effective of the vegetative methods for obtaining planting material, which allows receiving a huge amount of healthy planting material all year round in the conditions of a small laboratory area. Chloride-free ecosterilizer and bleaching agent based on sodium hypochlorite “Belizna” with an exposure of 15 and 20 min showed high efficiency in sterilization of explants of half-high blueberry and Arctic bramble. The highest viability of explants of the studied forest berry crops was observed when sterilized with a 0.1 % mercuric chloride solution and 15 min exposure, and its sharp decrease at 20 min exposure. At the stage of micropropagation, with an increase in the concentration of cytokinin 6-BAP from 0.5 to 1.0 mg/L on the nutrient Woody Plant Medium the number of shoots in regenerated plants of half-high blueberry (Northcountry and Northblue cultivars) and Arctic bramble (Anna and Sofia cultivars) increased. The effect of the concentration of IBA-derived auxin on the number and length of roots of regenerated plants was observed at the in vitro rooting stage.

Introduction. The last decade saw a considerable increase in the demand for European cranberry planting material (Oxyccocus palustris Pers.) among consumers of non-timber forest products. Cranberry possesses high nutritional and medicinal value. Cultivars and hybrids of European cranberry prove extremely productive for plantation growth using the method of clonal micropropagation with revitalized planting material. Study objects and methods. The research featured European cranberry plants of the Dar Kostromy cultivar and its hybrid form 1-15-635. The study focused on the effect of various medications and growth regulators on the biometric profile of European cranberry and its adaptation to non-sterile conditions at all stages of in vivo clonal micropropagation. Results and discussion. During the introduction stage, the highest viability belonged to the explants treated with AgNO3 (95–96%) and Lizoformin 3000 (5%) as the main sterilizing solutions at a 10-min exposure and a 5% solution of Ecosterilizer (1:1) at a 20-min exposure (90–95%). During the micropropagation proper, the number, average length, and total growth of shoots increased as the concentration of cytokinin 2ip in the WPM 1/4 nutrient medium rose from 1.0 to 5.0 mg/L. At the stage of in vitro rooting, the maximal number, average length, and total growth of roots in regenerated plants for both cultivars were observed when Kornerost 5.0 mg/L was added to the WPM 1/4 nutrient medium. At the stage of adaptation to in vivo conditions, Micogel 0.2 mg/L contributed to the highest survival rate (94–100%). Conclusion. During clonal micropropagation in vitro, the biometric profile of European cranberry (Oxyccocus palustris Pers.) and its survival rate under non-sterile conditions in vivo proved to depend on various growth-regulating substances and their concentrations.

Creation of plantations of the most popular species of forest berry plants with high nutritional and medicinal value is advisable in connection with the reduction of such natural resources and the increased demand for berry products, as well as for the biological reclamation of depleted peat deposits. The paper shows the research results of clonal micropropagation of forest berry plants (cranberry, American cranberry, half-high blueberry, Arctic bramble, lingonberry, Kamchatka bilberry) of promising cultivars and forms using various types of lighting (white LED lamps, LED lamps with a combination of white, red and blue spectra, as well as white fluorescent lamps). Plants were cultivated using WPM and MS nutrient media with the addition of cytokinins 2-iP and 6-BAP in various concentrations. The largest number (3.3–16.9 pcs) and the maximum total length (13.8–251.1 cm) of microshoots of cranberry (Dar Kostromy cultivar, hybrid form 1-15-635), American cranberry (Ben Lear cultivar, hybrid form 1-23-3), Arctic bramble (Anna cultivar, hybrid form K-1), lingonberry (Kostromskaya rozovaya and Rubin cultivars) and Kamchatka bilberry (Sakhalinskaya and Kurilskaya forms) were observed under lighting by LED lamps with a combination of white, red and blue spectra at the “proper micropropagation” stage. The formation of the largest number (13.1 pcs) and the maximum length (98.7 cm) of microshoots of half-high blueberry (Northblue cultivar, hybrid form 23-1-11) was observed under lighting by white fluorescent lamps. There were no significant differences in biometric parameters of plants under different types of lighting depending on cultivars and forms. The use of LED lamps with a combination of white, red and blue spectra has a significant effect on the formation of microshoots of forest berry plants during clonal micropropagation.
