Jong-Ryul Yang received dual B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Material Science from Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea, in 2003 and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2009. From February 2009 to October 2011, he worked as a Senior Engineer in the System LSI Division, Samsung Electronics, Yongin, South Korea. From November 2011 to August 2016, he was a Senior Researcher in the Advanced Medical Device Research Division at Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Ansan, South Korea. From March 2012 to August 2016, he was concurrently an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy and Power Conversion Engineering at the University of Science and Technology, Ansan, South Korea. From September 2016 to February 2023, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, South Korea. Since March 2023, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. His research interests include RF/millimeter-wave/terahertz circuits and systems, specifically for CMOS-based high-sensitivity detectors and high-power millimeter-wave transmitter integrated circuits, sub-terahertz imaging systems, and miniaturized radar sensors for vital signal detection and smart space monitoring for spatial intelligence.
