Patrícia Ribeiro Pereira received her bachelor's degree in biology from the Fluminense Federal University in 2005 and is now pursuing a PhD in food science. She worked as a visiting professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2020–2022). She is now in a post-doc position at the same university. Her research topics mainly include bioactive compounds, proteins and peptides, anticancer compounds, antimicrobial peptides, structural biology, cell culture, and immunomodulatory proteins.
