This paper is concerned with the problem of passivity-based asynchronous sliding mode control for a class of uncertain singular Markovian jump systems with time-delay and nonlinear perturbations. The asynchronous control strategy is employed due to the non-synchronization between the controlled system and the controller. Considering the singularity of the system, an integral-type sliding surface is constructed, and then the asynchronous sliding controller is synthesized to ensure that the sliding mode dynamics satisfy the reaching condition. Sufficient conditions are presented such that the corresponding sliding mode dynamics are robust stable and stochastic passive. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

This paper investigates an adaptive sliding-mode controller design problem for a class of Markov jump systems with actuator faults. First, a more extensive faults model, which includes actuator loss of effectiveness, outage and stuck, is established. Moreover, a novel sliding surface function is designed and sufficient conditions are established to ensure stochastic stability of the Markov jump systems with known transition probability. Second, based on the adaptive sliding-mode algorithm and the fault compensation algorithm, a comprehensive control law is synthesized not only to overcome the boundary restrictions of actuator loss effectiveness and external disturbances, but also to ensure the properties of stochastic stability and the reachability of the sliding-mode dynamics. Third, an improved stochastically stability criterion, in the case of Markov jump system with uncertain transition probability, is derived based on the homogeneous polynomial matrix technique. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to support the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control algorithms.

A novel asynchronous control for a class of Markovian jump systems (MJSs) via output feedback sliding mode approach with an artificial time-delay is proposed. The asynchronous control strategy is adopted owing to the nonsynchronization between the controlled system and the controller. In some practical applications, the state variables are often difficult to be measured directly from the outside of the system, which makes the implementation of state feedback technique more complex. However, the output information is always accessible to the system. Therefore, an asynchronous output feedback sliding controller, where an artificial time-delay is introduced in the synthesis of the sliding surface, for MJSs is designed to guarantee the sliding mode dynamics satisfying the reaching condition, and a sufficient condition is derived to ensure the resultant system exponentially stable. Besides, a program of optimization is given to optimize the artificial delay-time. Finally, a numerical simulation and a practical application are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
This article addresses a novel multiphase-based real-time optimal slip ratio tracking control problem of an aircraft antiskid braking system (ABS) based on the second-order sliding-mode approach. First, a comprehensive dynamic model of an aircraft ABS is established, in which the coupling mechanism of the longitudinal, the vertical, and the pitching dynamics of the aircraft are thoroughly considered. Second, for the aircraft ABS with high nonlinearity, since the measurements of aircraft velocity and acceleration cannot be transmitted to the aircraft ABS in time, the second-order sliding-mode differentiator (SMD) will be designed to estimate them simultaneously. Then, the optimal slip ratio signal, which formulates the maximum friction coefficient, will be updated based on the static friction coefficient model with real-time measured and estimated signals. Furthermore, a novel multiphase-based slip ratio regulation algorithm integrated with the second-order sliding-mode control strategy is proposed on the basis of runway characteristics to track the optimal slip ratio signal, which can not only stop the aircraft faster but prevent the mainwheel from final locking. Finally, the simulation results are presented to demonstrate that the aircraft antiskid braking algorithm proposed in this article can effectively prevent the mainwheel from locking under different runway conditions, and significantly improve the braking efficiency.
