Antonella Maggio is an organic chemist. She is an associate professor at the STEBICEF Department of the University of Palermo. She carries out her research activities in the field of chemistry of natural substances and is also involved in the history and teaching of chemistry. She is the author of more than 100 scientific papers published in international journals and the proceedings of national and international conferences. She has published volumes on the history of chemistry. She is the co-author of Chemistry manuals. In 2019 she was the winner, alongside prof. Palumbo Piccionello, of the IUPAC Periodic Table Challenge Nobelium Contest.
