Elena Tarakhovskaya, Ph.D. in biology, graduated from St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg, Russia), where currently has a position of Associate Professor in the department of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.
Research interests: ecophysiology and biochemistry of marine macrophytes, photosynthesis regulation, phytohormones, morphogenesis regulation, polarity induction, reactive oxygen species in algae, metabolomics.
Member of International Phycological Society and Russian Society of Plant Physiologists; since 2016 – Associate Editor in Phycologia.
