Virtual reality (VR) games have become a popular method to preserve and transmit intangible cultural heritage in recent years. However, empirical studies pertaining to motivations behind the continuance intention to play VR games featuring intangible cultural heritage have been limited. The objective of this study focuses on answering an essential question: what factors influence user’s continuance intention to play intangible cultural heritage VR games? Both Stimulus-Organism-Response Theory and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are considered to develop twelve hypotheses and build the research framework. A survey of 190 respondents was conducted, and the results were analyzed by using PLS-SEM. The results show that visual attractiveness, interactivity, and immersion are significant indicators in measuring users’ continuance intention to play. Additionally, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment of VR games positively influence their continuance intention. This study enriches the research of intangible cultural heritage VR games. It also provides theoretical implications for scholars and design strategies for VR developers and designers.
Purpose: The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence has witnessed its widespread integration across various industries, contributing to enhanced productivity. However, a comprehensive exploration of the underlying factors influencing the behavior of graphic designers in employing such tools remains incomplete. This research aims to amalgamate the IDT theory with the UTAUT2 model to construct a structural model, delving into the factors affecting graphic designers’ behavior in using GenAI tools. Design/methodology/approach: A survey was conducted with 394 respondents, and the results were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Findings: The findings reveal that most factors proposed in both the UTAUT2 and IDT theories exert positive influences. Notably, the study highlights that AI anxiety significantly influences designers’ usage behavior. Originality/value: This research provides a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for both graphic designers and AI developers.
The objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis within the domain of Smart Product-Service Systems (Smart PSS). Leveraging the extant scholarly work, this paper delineates the prevailing research landscape and trajectories, while scrutinizing the focal points and prospective trends in this discipline. A total of 925 relevant articles were retrieved and collected from the Web of Science core database. VOSviewer and CiteSpace knowledge mapping tools were utilized to analyze the annual publication volume, institutional collaboration, topic burst, keyword co-occurrence, author collaboration, author co-citation, document co-citation, and references in the field of Smart Product-Service Systems. It is evident from this research that there is a lack of coordination between theoretical and practical development in the current study of Smart PSS sustainability, and the research field has certain limitations. Additionally, the research focus in this field has shifted from product-centered to user-centered, resulting in a sustainable development trend aimed at value co-creation. In the future, it is necessary to achieve sustainable development of Smart PSS through three aspects: theoretical innovation, methodological innovation, and development path. This systematic review will deepen the understanding of Smart PSS research and provide directional guidance for future studies. It also emphasizes the necessity of exploring the Smart PSS field more deeply to achieve sustainable development in this area.
Smart Product-Service Systems are a crucial paradigm that integrates digital technologies into traditional product-service systems, yet a detailed analysis of their knowledge structure and development is missing. To bridge this gap, the current study performs a systematic review of 804 scholarly publications. Through mathematical modeling techniques combining bibliometric analysis and advanced machine learning algorithms, this study sources annual publication trends, institutional and author collaboration networks, co-citation patterns and the thematic structure of research topics. Our findings organize the field into three thematic groups distinguished by semantic distance: strategic and business dimensions of Smart Product-Service Systems encompassing servitization and sustainability, system design and industrial implementation, and SmartPSS-specific design methods covering requirement elicitation, conceptual design and evaluation. Method-oriented research in Smart Product-Service Systems remains concentrated in specialized design science traditions, underlining the need to extend formal evaluation frameworks and requirement engineering approaches toward broader industrial and service ecosystems. Future efforts must be focused on translating theoretical advancements into integrated, scalable solutions to real-world challenges that also promote sustainability. This study not only contributes to gaining a holistic understanding of the Smart Product-Service Systems domain through computational modeling but also provides some directional insights for future researchers and practitioners to guide more focused and impactful future studies.
