Alessandro Palmioli studied Industrial Biotechnologies at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), where he also received his PhD in Chemistry (2009). After a research experience in a multinational company operating in the field of in vitro immunodiagnostics, he joined the Department of Chemistry at the University of Milan as post-doctoral researcher (2012). In 2015 he returned in the Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences – University of Milano Bicocca as post-doc researcher. His research interests are focused on the design, synthesis and identification of bioactive molecules and molecular tools for biomedical and biotechnological applications
