Information

Margarita Sánchez-Domínguez received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (University of Bristol 2004). She was a postdoctoral researcher at Institute Charles Sadron (Strasbourg, 2004-2006), and at Institute of Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (Barcelona, 2006-2010). She joined CIMAV (México) in 2010. She has published 67 articles, 7 book chapters, 1 book, 8 patents. Her research goal is to understand the interfacial and colloidal properties of surfactant systems with the aim of using them for applications related with nanomaterials and industrial formulations, with a focus on bicontinuous microemulsions as reaction media for synthesis of metallic hierarchical superstructures and their use as SERS substrates and electrocatalysts.
