Yindong Tong is a Professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tianjin University, Tianjin, China (2021.7–present). Prior to that, he served as Associate Professor (2017.7‒2021.6) and Lecturer (2014.7‒2017.6) at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tianjin University. He completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Geography at the School of Urban and Environmental Studies, Peking University, in 2014. His research activities focus on the environmental behavior of key elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and mercury at the watershed scale and in river and lake waters, and explain the impacts of anthropogenic activities, changes, and environmental improvement measures on nutrient concentrations in rivers and lakes, elemental measurement characteristics, and ecological risk of toxic substances in water.
