Duaa Aqaili is a physiology lecturer at the College of Medicine and
surgery, Jazan University, Jazan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She is currently a Ph.D.
candidate in the department of Physiology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. She had a master degree in clinical physiology. She is interested
in neuroscience and cognitive disorders. She's actively improving her
skills in research and engaging in other projects, specifically focusing
on behavioral neuroscience and possible preventive interventions. She focuses
on using different neuroprotective agents to overcome neurodegenerative
disorders. Her research also focuses on using agents during early infancy to
prevent adulthood neurodegenerative disorders and cognitive decline to improve
human quality of life. Her research looks at different neuroprotective
agents that may interfere with neuronal plasticity, hippocampus neurogenesis,
neuronal autophagic pathways, neuronal apoptotic molecular pathways, and neuro
inflammation.
