I am Dalal Mawsil Alkuraythi, a dedicated researcher and instructor specializing in microbiology, with a particular focus on antibiotic resistance and the molecular epidemiology of pathogenic bacteria. My work primarily revolves around Staphylococcus aureus, especially methicillin-resistant strains (MRSA). Through my research, I aim to understand the genetic diversity and resistance patterns of these pathogens in various environments, including healthcare settings and food sources.
I have contributed to the scientific community by investigating the emergence and expansion of MRSA clones in Saudi Arabia. My findings highlight the critical need for ongoing surveillance and effective control measures to address the public health risks associated with multidrug-resistant bacteria. In addition to my research, I teach and mentor students in microbiology other courses atUniversity of Jeddah.
My commitment to advancing knowledge in my field is demonstrated through my publications in reputable journals, active participation in conferences, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. I advocate for a One Health approach to address the complexities of antimicrobial resistance and the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health.
