Many parties have updated their recruitment strategies and offer softer routes for joining their ranks. In some parties, registered sympathizers are given virtually the same rights as traditional members with substantially lower costs. This begs the question, why would somebody take the further step of joining such parties as full members rather than sympathizers? This article analyzes this question by using membership surveys from three left-wing Spanish parties. As such, it explores the usefulness of the general incentives model (GIM) for explaining the decisions of these two groups of affiliates. We find that full members and sympathizers differ in the motives they have to join the party and in their evaluations of the diverse types of incentives included in the GIM. Candidate selection incentives seem particularly important for sympathizers, whereas selective outcome incentives, selective process benefits, collective outcome benefits and altruistic motivations play a more significant role for members.

Pets, generally, and dogs have become an essential part of families. This situation implies that people consider their dogs when planning family holidays, excluding moving to a second home. This study aims to investigate the perceptions of dog owners according to the demand for tourist establishments where they can stay with their pets. A total of 1391 dog owners’ surveys were collected and analyzed, and various covariance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM) was developed to determine the suitability of the measurement model, the second-order factors, and the relationships between the different constructs. The main results of this research show that the motivations for traveling with the dog, the limitations this encounters, and, above all, the attachment that the family has with its pet significantly influence the choice of accommodation. The findings of this research will help hotel managers with the design of policies that meet the needs of families travelling with their dogs. The analysis of dog owners’ motivations for choosing tourist accommodation due to their attachment and the limitations for travelling allows us to obtain more accurate information.

Among the different managerial styles of leadership, inclusive leadership has a particular relevance because, through its basic characteristics of openness, accessibility and availability of managers, employees can see their esteem and feeling of belonging to the group improve. This improvement can ultimately increase the degree of well-being at work. This research has been carried out through a survey of 193 working people about their perception of the inclusive leadership style and their level of well-being at work. The PLS-SEM methodology has been used for the statistical treatment of the data. The main conclusion obtained in this research is that an inclusive leadership style has a positive effect on people's well-being at work. Inclusive leadership improves job satisfaction, the feeling of being respected and emotional accessibility. These conclusions and findings support the idea that it is necessary to train managers in skills linked to labor inclusion.

This research aims to determine the variations that occur in the socio-demographic profile (gender, age, educational level and income) of the visitor interested in astrotourism based on some questions about the activities they carry out related to astronomy, motivations, economic and social benefits and the assessment of experiences about astrotourism through data gathered by a questionnaire. An artificial neural network is developed to generate potential “identikits” or estimated profiles of astrotourists based on the replies incorporated into the model and easily customisable by the researcher, this being especially useful in the development of products and services adapted to astrotourism.
