Professor Chris (Chi-Yang) Yu received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Utah, USA in 2000. Before he joined the Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in Tatung University, he worked on next generation sequencing and microarrays in the industry. Professor Yu is an expert in protein engineering; his current research interest is to apply these engineered proteins to various fields such as biofuels and biosensors.
