Prof. Li Zhang is currently an Associate Professor and
Doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering of Shandong
University. He is also a member of the High Voltage Youth Group of the China
Electrical Engineering Society. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the
School of Electrical Engineering, Shandong University in 2005 and 2009,
respectively, where he was a public joint-venture Ph.D. student at the
University of Liverpool, UK, from 2008 to 2009. Furthermore, he was a visiting
scholar at the University of Florida from 2019 to 2020. His research interests
mainly include high voltage and insulation technology, lightning protection for
new energy power systems, new electrical insulation materials, electromagnetic gun
launching technology and electromagnetic compatibility of power systems.
