Sven Wuertz is a Senior Scientist and Research Group Leader at the Department of Ecophysiology and Aquaculture, Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries. He is a Fish Physiologist working on reproduction, nutrition, and immunology with a focus on applied aquaculture research. He received a Ph.D. from Humboldt University, Berlin in 2005. From 2008 to 2009, he was an Auxilliary Researcher (tenure track) in the Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology (LeTOX), Centro Interdisciplinar de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental (CIIMAR), Porto, Portugal. Since 2011, he has been a Work Group Leader in reproductive biology and nutritional physiology. He has 100 publications with 3111 citations and an h-index of 32 (Scopus, 10 November 2023).
