The Internet of Things (IoT) presents great potential in various fields such as home automation, healthcare, and industry, among others, but its infrastructure, the use of open source code, and lack of software updates make it vulnerable to cyberattacks that can compromise access to data and services, thus making it an attractive target for hackers. The complexity of cyberattacks has increased, posing a greater threat to public and private organizations. This study evaluated the performance of deep learning models for classifying cybersecurity attacks in IoT networks, using the CICIoT2023 dataset. Three architectures based on DNN, LSTM, and CNN were compared, highlighting their differences in layers and activation functions. The results show that the CNN architecture outperformed the others in accuracy and computational efficiency, with an accuracy rate of 99.10% for multiclass classification and 99.40% for binary classification. The importance of data standardization and proper hyperparameter selection is emphasized. These results demonstrate that the CNN-based model emerges as a promising option for detecting cyber threats in IoT environments, supporting the relevance of deep learning in IoT network security.

In the field of art, machine learning models have been used to predict artistic styles in paintings. The foregoing is somewhat advantageous for analysts, as these tools can provide more valuable results and help reduce bias in the results and conclusions provided. Therefore, the objective of this research was to examine research trends in the use of machine learning to predict artistic styles from a bibliometric review based on the PRISMA methodology. From the search equations, 268 documents were found, out of which, following the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 128 documents were analyzed. Through quantitative analysis, a growing research interest in the subject is evident, progressing from user perception approaches to the utilization of tools like deep learning for art studies. Among the main results, it is possible to identify that one of the most used techniques in the field has been neural networks for pattern recognition. Also, a large part of the research focuses on the use of design software for image creation and manipulation. Finally, it is found that the number of studies focused on contemporary modern art is still limited, this is due to the fact that a large part of the investigations has focused on historical artistic styles.

This article introduces Peruvian coffee leaf datasets known as CATIMOR, CATURRA and BORBON of coffee plantations located at San Miguel de las Naranjas and La Palma Central, Jaén province, Cajamarca, Perú. The leaves with nutritional deficiencies were identified by agronomists, using a physical structure the controlled environment was designed and the images were captured with a digital camera. The dataset contains 1006 leaf images grouped according to their nutritional deficiencies (Boron, Iron, Potasium, Calcium, Magnesium, Manganese, Nitrogen and others). CoLeaf dataset contain images that facilitate training and validation during the utilization of deep learning algorithms for coffee plant leaf nutritional deficiencies recognition and classification. The dataset is publicly and freely available at http://dx.doi.org/10.17632/brfgw46wzb.1.

Structured Query Language (SQL) injections pose a constant threat to web services, highlighting the need for efficient detection to address this vulnerability. This study compares machine learning algorithms for detecting SQL injections in web microservices trained using a public dataset of 22,764 records. Additionally, a software architecture based on the microservices approach was implemented, in which trained models and the web application were deployed to validate requests and detect attacks. A literature review was conducted to identify types of SQL injections and machine learning algorithms. The results of random forest, decision tree, and support vector machine were compared for detecting SQL injections. The findings show that random forest outperforms with a precision and accuracy of 99%, a recall of 97%, and an F1 score of 98%. In contrast, decision tree achieved a precision of 92%, a recall of 86%, and an F1 score of 97%. Support Vector Machine (SVM) presented an accuracy, precision, and F1 score of 98%, with a recall of 97%.

Mango production is fundamental to the agricultural economy, generating income and employment in various communities. Accurate estimation of its production optimizes the planning and logistics of harvesting; traditionally, manual methods are inefficient and prone to errors. Currently, machine learning, by handling large volumes of data, emerges as an innovative solution to enhance the precision of mango production estimation. This study presents an analysis of mango fruit detection using machine learning algorithms, specifically YOLO version 8 and Faster R-CNN. The present study employs a dataset consisting of 212 original images, annotated with a total of 9604 labels, which has been expanded to include 2449 additional images and 116,654 annotations. This significant increase in dataset size notably enhances the robustness and generalization capacity of the model. The YOLO-trained model achieves an accuracy of 96.72%, a recall of 77.4%, and an F1 Score of 86%, compared to the results of Faster R-CNN, which are 98.57%, 63.80%, and 77.46%, respectively. YOLO demonstrates greater efficiency, being faster in training, consuming less memory, and utilizing fewer CPU resources. Furthermore, this study has developed a web application with a user interface that facilitates the uploading of images from mango trees considered samples. The YOLO-trained model detects the fruits of each tree in the representative sample and uses extrapolation techniques to estimate the total number of fruits across the entire population of mango trees.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to determine the research areas with the largest numbers of publications, the most influential researchers, and research trends in Peruvian Universities. Methodology: A bibliometric analysis was conducted from the Scopus database by retrieving a total of 29,935 documents between 2008 and 2021. Findings: The study analyzed the scientific production of 93 accredited universities in Peru between 2008 and 2021, retrieved 29,935 documents, and observed an annual growth rate of 15% before Law 30,220, and 28% after. Medicine, social sciences, and engineering are the subject areas with the most publications. The study also found that Peruvian universities have contributed to 27 research areas. Peru, the United States, and Brazil were the top countries in collaboration. The study also illustrated the intellectual and conceptual structure of scientific production, with the greatest relevance in medicine and health.
