Chyuan Haur Kao was born in Taipei, Taiwan, 1967. He received the M.S. degree from the Department of Electric Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in1991 and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electronics, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1998. In 2005, he joined the faculty at Chang Gung University as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering and became a professor in 2012. He has published more than 90 journal papers and 120 conference papers, and instructed more than 50 master and Ph.D students. His current research areas focus on the high-k gate dielectrics, high-k flash memories, and high-k sensing membranes and extended-gate field-effect transistors for bio-sensor applications.
