Dr Yue (Christina) Wang is an RAEng Research Fellow in the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology at the University of York. She graduated with an MSc degree from the University of St Andrews and Heriot-Watt University in 2008, and a PhD in 2012 from the University of St Andrews. After working on multifunctional organic lasers for chemosensing, she moved to York, starting her research on nanomaterials and nanophotonics in the Photonics group. In 2018, she was awarded a five-year fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering to pursue her vision of using light-emitting layered two-dimensional materials for applications such as silicon photonics and sensing.
