Donato Conteduca received his PhD from Politecnico di Bari (Italy) in 2017. His PhD research concerned the design and fabrication of an optofluidic system for optical trapping of sub-micrometre particles. He joined the Photonics Group at the University of York (UK) in 2018 as postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on the study and fabrication of photonic devices to maximize light–matter interaction, with a relevant interest in optical trapping at the nanoscale and biochemical sensing applications. Donato has expertise in design, fabrication, and characterization of photonic devices and microfluidic systems.
