Nataša Šijaković Vujičić is a research associate specializing in the field of supramolecular organic chemistry at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Croatia. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, in 2001, and Ph.D. in 2010 at the RBI.
Her research interests cover a diverse range of topics, including the study of oil gels, organogels, hydrogels, liquid-crystalline gels, self-assembly, nanomaterials, as well as expertise in microscopy, calorimetry, and oscillatory rheology. She has also been actively involved in knowledge transfer to industry.
Nataša Šijaković Vujičić has played a role in implementing oscillatory rheology techniques for the analysis of soft matter systems at the RBI. She has engaged in collaborative projects with industry partners, with a primary focus on evaluating the rheological properties of various food products.
In addition to her research contributions, she holds the distinction of being the inventor of two granted patents related to low molecular weight organic gelators for vegetable oil and water/oil emulsions. Her work is also evident through her coordination of proof-of-concept projects with different companies, which aim to translate research findings into practical applications.
Nataša Šijaković Vujičić's dedication to innovation and commercialization efforts has garnered her numerous awards, recognizing her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and its practical applications
