Federated learning has received a great deal of research attention recently, with privacy protection becoming a key factor in the development of artificial intelligence. Federated learning is a special kind of distributed learning framework, which allows multiple users to participate in model training while ensuring that their privacy is not compromised; however, this paradigm is still vulnerable to security and privacy threats from various attackers. This paper focuses on the security and privacy threats related to federated learning. First, we analyse the current research and development status of federated learning through use of the CiteSpace literature search tool. Next, we describe the basic concepts and threat models, and then analyse the security and privacy vulnerabilities within current federated learning architectures. Finally, the directions of development in this area are further discussed in the context of current advanced defence solutions, for which we provide a summary and comparison.

In the previous years, vision transformer has demonstrated a global information extraction capability in the field of computer vision that convolutional neural network (CNN) lacks. Due to the lack of inductive bias in vision transformer, it requires a large amount of data to support its training. In the field of remote sensing, it costs a lot to obtain a significant number of high-resolution remote sensing images. Most existing change detection networks based on deep learning rely heavily on the CNN, which cannot effectively utilize the long-distance dependence between pixels for difference discrimination. Therefore, this work aims to use a high-performance vision transformer to conduct change detection research with limited data. A bibranch fusion network based on axial cross attention (ACABFNet) is proposed. The network extracts local and global information of images through the CNN branch and transformer branch, respectively, and then, fuses local and global features by the bidirectional fusion approach. In the upsampling stage, similar feature information and difference feature information of the two branches are explicitly generated by feature addition and feature subtraction. Considering that the self-attention mechanism is not efficient enough for global attention over small datasets, we propose the axial cross attention. First, global attention along the height and width dimensions of images is performed respectively, and then cross attention is used to fuse the global feature information along two dimensions. Compared with the original self-attention, the structure is more graphics processing unit friendly and efficient. Experimental results on three datasets reveal that the ACABFNet outperforms existing change detection algorithms.

Changes on lakes and rivers are of great significance for the study of global climate change. Accurate segmentation of lakes and rivers is critical to the study of their changes. However, traditional water area segmentation methods almost all share the following deficiencies: high computational requirements, poor generalization performance, and low extraction accuracy. In recent years, semantic segmentation algorithms based on deep learning have been emerging. Addressing problems associated to a very large number of parameters, low accuracy, and network degradation during training process, this paper proposes a separable residual SegNet (SR-SegNet) to perform the water area segmentation using remote sensing images. On the one hand, without compromising the ability of feature extraction, the problem of network degradation is alleviated by adding modified residual blocks into the encoder, the number of parameters is limited by introducing depthwise separable convolutions, and the ability of feature extraction is improved by using dilated convolutions to expand the receptive field. On the other hand, SR-SegNet removes the convolution layers with relatively more convolution kernels in the encoding stage, and uses the cascading method to fuse the low-level and high-level features of the image. As a result, the whole network can obtain more spatial information. Experimental results show that the proposed method exhibits significant improvements over several traditional methods, including FCN, DeconvNet, and SegNet.

In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, the number of credit card users has increased significantly. Subsequently, credit card fraud has caused a large amount of economic losses to individual users and related financial enterprises. At present, traditional machine learning methods (such as SVM, random forest, Markov model, etc.) have been widely studied in credit card fraud detection, but these methods are often have difficulty in demonstrating their effectiveness when faced with unknown attack patterns. In this paper, a new Unsupervised Attentional Anomaly Detection Network-based Credit Card Fraud Detection framework (UAAD-FDNet) is proposed. Among them, fraudulent transactions are regarded as abnormal samples, and autoencoders with Feature Attention and GANs are used to effectively separate them from massive transaction data. Extensive experimental results on Kaggle Credit Card Fraud Detection Dataset and IEEE-CIS Fraud Detection Dataset demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing fraud detection methods.
