Dr. Bruno Brentan is an adjunct professor at the School of Engineering of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in the department of hydraulic engineering and water resources EHR-UFMG. His main topic is the application of machine learning and optimization algorithms to improve the project, operation, and management of water systems. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2012) and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2014) and a doctorate in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2017) with a doctoral degree abroad (UPV-Valencia) and post a doctorate from the Université de Lorraine (2018) and Federal University of Minas Gerais (2020). He is also a member of the FluIng Research Group of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has experience in the area of Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Water Resources and Water Supply, working mainly on the following topics: supply networks, energy efficiency in water supply and optimized control of supply systems.
