We study black hole phase transitions in (deformed) Ho\ifmmode \check{r}\else \v{r}\fi{}ava-Lifshitz (H-L) gravity, including the charged/uncharged topological black holes and KS black hole. Stability analysis and state space geometry are both used. We find interesting phase structures in these black holes, some of the properties are never observed in Einstein gravity. Particularly, the stability properties of black holes in H-L gravity with small radius change dramatically, which can be considered as a leak of information about the small scale behavior of spacetime. A new black hole local phase transition in H-L gravity which cannot be revealed by thermodynamical metrics has been found. There is an infinite discontinuity at the specific heat curve for charged black hole in H-L gravity with hyperbolic event horizon. However, this discontinuity does not have a corresponding curvature singularity of thermodynamical metrics. Our results may provide new insights towards a better understanding of the H-L gravity, as well as black hole thermodynamics.

Kerr/CFT correspondence exhibits many remarkable connections between the near-horizon Kerr black hole and a conformal field theory (CFT). Recently, Castro, Maloney, and Strominger showed that a hidden conformal symmetry exists in the solution space of a Kerr black hole. In this paper we investigate a rotating black hole with four independent U(1) charges derived from string theory which is known as the four-dimensional Cvetic-Youm solution, and we prove that the same hidden conformal symmetry also holds. We obtain the exact black hole entropy using the temperatures derived. The entropy and absorption cross section agree with the previous results [M. Cvetic and F. Larsen, Nucl. Phys. B506, 107 (1997).] and [M. Cvetic and F. Larsen, J. High Energy Phys. 09 (2009) 088.]. In addition, we clarify a previous explanation on the temperatures of the Cvetic-Youm solution's dual CFT. This work provides more robust derivation of the hidden conformal symmetry of Kerr-like black holes and as well as Kerr/CFT correspondence.

The tunneling approach beyond semiclassical approximation has been used to calculate the corrected Hawking temperature and entropy for various black holes and FRW universe model. We examine their derivations, and prove that the quantity $H$ in the corrected temperature is the explicit function of the only free parameter $\mathcal{A}$ (which is an auxiliary parameter defined by $\mathcal{A}=\hbar S_{BH}$). Our analysis improves previous calculations, and indicates that the leading order logarithmic correction to entropy is a natural result of the corrected temperature and the first law of thermodynamics. Additionally, we apply the tunneling approach beyond semiclassical approximation to neutral black rings. Based on the analysis, we show that the entropy of neutral black rings also has a logarithmic leading order correction.

Objective:This study aims to compare the dosimetric calculationsin standard non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) radiotherapy planningusing the Collapsed Cone (CC) algorithm of the RayStation planningsystem on the Varian Halcyon accelerator, with the Analytical AnisotropicAlgorithm (AAA) and Acuros XB algorithms on the Eclipse accelerator. Methods:The RayStation planning system was employed to designthe RapidArc radiotherapy plans for 15 lung cancer patients on theHalcyon accelerator, using the CC algorithm for dose calculation. The plans were then transferred to the Eclipse planning system. Withoutmaking any changes to these plans, doses were computed using bothAAA and Acuros XB algorithms. The differences in dose-volume indicesfor the clinical target volume (CTV), planned target volume (PTV),and other organs at risk were evaluated. Results:Compared with the CC algorithm, the AAA algorithmshowed slightly lower dose-volume indices for both the CTV (D2%,D50%, D95%, D98%, and mean dose) and the PTV (D2%, D50%, andmean dose), with differences within 1%. Specifically, the PTV's D95%and D98% were respectively 1.7% and 2.4% lower, the heart's meandose was 3.2% lower, the lung's V20Gy was 0.2% lower, the averagedose was 0.2% higher, and the spinal cord's maximum dose (representedby D0.1cc) was 0.9% lower. In contrast to the CC algorithm, the AcurosXB algorithm also showed slightly lower dose-volume indices for theCTV and the PTV, with differences within 1.5%. Specifically, thePTV's D95% and D98% were respectively 1.6% and 2.3% lower, theheart's mean dose was 4.4% lower, the lung's V20Gy was 0.3% lower, the average dose was 1.4% lower, and the spinal cord's maximum dosewas 2.3% lower. Paired t-tests indicated that all these results hadsignificant differences (p<0.05).Conclusion:This study aimed to quantify the impact of usingRayStation system and CC algorithm on Halcyon accelerator for clinicaldose evaluations, by comparing it with the AAA and Acuros XB algorithmsof the Varian Eclipse planning system. For lung cancer radiotherapyplanning, dose calculations obtained from the AAA and Acuros XB algorithmsunder the Eclipse system were slightly lower compared to the RayStationCC algorithm across various clinical indices. Notably, the differencesin the PTV's D95% and D98% indices were over 1.5%, while dose indicesfor various organs at risk were approximately 2∼3% lower. The results of this study can serve as a reference for institutionsthat are preparing to use the RayStation planning system for the designand clinical application of plans on the Varian Halcyon accelerator.

It was found in [Phys.Lett.B 675 (2009) 98] that information is conserved in the process of black hole evaporation, by using the tunneling formulism and considering the correlations between emitted particles. In this Letter, we shall include quantum gravity effects, by taking into account of the log-area correction to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. The correlation between successively emitted particles is calculated, with Planck-scale corrections. By considering the black hole evaporation process, entropy conservation is checked, and the existence of black hole remnant is emphasized. We conclue in this case information can leak out through the radiation and black hole evaporation is still a unitary process.
